Description

BeamGuard30 is a self-contained retroreflective photoelectric detector that combines the transmitter and receiver in one weather-protected housing. In very simple terms: Something breks the beam (person or vehicles) and it sends a signal to the Controller. A visible red beam is aimed at the supplied reflector; when a vehicle, pedestrian, or object interrupts the return signal, the relay changes state. The adjustable swivel simplifies alignment across lanes and openings up to 30 feet.

Operations

Mount the sensor and reflector facing each other, connect 9–24 VAC or 12–24 VDC power, and align until the red validity indicator confirms a strong return. Green indicates power and flashing green indicates a weak signal. Beam interruption operates the 3 A relay in approximately 30 ms.
