The PS-VMD-NB is a microwave motion detector engineered for precision vehicle, pedestrian, and bicycle detection in narrow zones. Designed for covered garages and tight spaces, it eliminates false detections from adjacent traffic by focusing on a 3–6 ft. beam path width. It’s ideal for activating safety signs, gate controls, access systems, and automatic doors in smart traffic environments.
When the PS-VMD-NB Narrow Beam Motion Detector identifies motion within its detection zone — whether from a vehicle, bicycle, or pedestrian — the sensor activates an internal microwave detection circuit. This circuit responds to motion across a narrow 3 to 6-foot path, ensuring precise targeting and minimizing false detections.
Once motion is detected:
The relay output is triggered immediately (within approximately 0.5 seconds). The normally open (NO) dry contact closes, completing the circuit.
