Red Green Traffic Light for Parking Garages
Controls traffic inside parking garages to avoid cross traffic collisions for either Single Direction or Two-Way Traffic. Use with the PASS Signs Traffic Controller System.
The RED GREEN Traffic Light for parking garages can be used as an accessory to exiting parking gates, cashier booths, parking lanes, and to avoid cross-traffic collisions. The light can be used in with a PASS Signs Traffic Controller for guidance on two-way traffic control, up and down ramps, and blind corners. The system is wall, post, or ceiling mounted and can be mounted vertical or horizontal .The lights are 8″ in diameter and ideal for up to 300′ distance for viewing.
Stand-alone: The red light and green light each have their own circuit controlled by your control system.
One-way Traffic Control System: A PASS Controller system controls the Red and Green lights. The Controller will use logic from vehicle detection sensors such as motion detectors, vehicle loops and gate controls. Use case example: Two lanes of traffic merge into a single lane creating a collision hazard. The lesser used lane would have the Red/Green light mounted in the lane with a green light illuminated. A vehicle sensor would be mounted in the more common used lane. Anytime a vehicle is detected the Red/Green light would change from green to flashing red for 10 seconds. If another vehicle is detected during this time the 10 second timer would restart.
Two-way Traffic Control System: A PASS Controller system controls the Red and Green lights. The Controller will use logic from vehicle detection sensors such as motion detectors, vehicle loops and gate controls. Use case example: Two-way traffic is forced to use a single lane of traffic in a parking facility. A Red/Green light is placed at the Top and at the Bottom of the ramp. Both ends of the ramp have a green light illuminated. When a vehicle is detected at the top of the ramp the red light illuminates at the bottom of the ramp and stops traffic. If a vehicle is detected at the bottom of the ramp during this time period the system will QUEUE the vehicle and then switch the direction of traffic as soon as the first vehicle is cleared.
