The CAUTION VEHICLE ON RAMP Warning System is designed to enhance safety in parking garages and blind ramps by warning drivers that another vehicle is on the ramp. Using two directional-logic vehicle motion detectors, the system senses vehicle movement from either direction. When a vehicle enters one end of the ramp, a bright “CAUTION VEHICLE ON RAMP” sign flashes at the opposite end to alert approaching drivers. Powered by the PSC two-way traffic controller, this system provides reliable, automatic vehicle detection and visual alerts without requiring drivers to stop, reducing collision risk and improving ramp visibility.

The CAUTION VEHICLE ON RAMP Warning System operates as a two-way detection and warning system for vehicle ramps. Each end of the ramp is equipped with a directional-logic vehicle motion detector and a CAUTION VEHICLE ON RAMP backlit sign. When a vehicle is detected traveling onto the ramp from one direction, the opposite sign automatically illuminates and flashes to warn oncoming drivers that a vehicle is present on the ramp. Once the vehicle exits, the system automatically resets and turns off the sign. The PSC traffic controller manages signal timing, vehicle direction logic, and synchronization between both ends of the ramp, ensuring continuous and reliable operation.
